North to Alaska

So, Sweets has done it again...he's up and left me and gone to Alaska to go fishin'. I'm happy for him, he left a message this morning sayin' how fantastic the fishing has been so far. He's been there for a couple of days. He went with brother Mortimer and the ship's doctor from our cruise. The ship's doctor, we'll call him Neil for all practical purposes (and for the fact that this is indeed his name), was quite excited about this Alaska trip. He talked about it a lot on our cruise. I felt like saying "It's like you LOVE Alaska"...kind of like when Nancy asked Daisy where the barrettes that she had been wearing had gone to (you know how it is with girls and their barrettes...they loose 47 of them every single day) and Daisy very put out responded "It's like you LOVE those barrettes!"

Anywho, it was cool because Sweets was excited plenty, but every time we were around "Neil" and he would start to go off about how much he LOVED Alaska...Sweets would just give me reassuring looks or tighten his grip on me or whisper to me how much fun he was having right now with me. See? I just LIKE the guy. How could I not? He's a cool little hubby and I'm gonna keep 'em.

Sounds like they are having a good time and I love how Sweets likes to call you and that you will appreciate how excited he is about the fishing. Cool Things My Kids Say

Gordy: "let's hug everychother"...said when Sweets gets home from work and I'm kissing him hello. Little dude will usually run over to us and want to be picked up and hugged by both of us at the same time. So cute.
Gordy: "What heck!?" Said when Maddie was throwing a huge fit at some hotel we were staying at some hotel.
Gordy: "I'm outta heo (here)!", said when he was fed up with his sisters.
Gordy: "I'm so sick of it"
The other night at the dinner table I told the little guy that he needed to tidy up his room after dinner. He leaned back in his chair, put his hand behind his head and sighed "Aw Mom! I'd love to do that, but I'm too tired!"
A sweet conversation while my girls were bathing (I was in the next room): Charley: "Mom? Do women HAVE to get naked when they have babies?" Maddie chimes in before I have the chance to answer "NO, only SOME women, like Catholics".
Today from the backseat, Gordy said to me "Mom, I don't dream about noodles." This statement was of course in reference to the movie, Kung Fu panda. So then I asked him what he DOES dream about. Well, he proceeded to tell me what kind of trucks and superheroes he dreams about for the next five minutes straight. THAT is a long time for such a little person!
I had to put Treatums in time-out in his room today for yelling at me. I told him that he could come out when he was ready to speak nicely. A few minutes later he came out into the kitchen and very calmly announced "MOm, I'm gonna talk to the police if you don't stop it". So back to his room he went.
Last night while I was at work little dude was in bed watching TV with Sweets when all of a sudden he looked over and asked his dad "are you a woman?". Sweets, taken aback said "No, I'm a man." Then little dude: "Oh, you're a man?"
Chookie yelling "Neva!"; which is to say "Never!"...when badly offended. Later it was "Never never again! HMM!" and then a good slamming of the door. I remember loving to offend her just to see all the tiny drama.
NoniGirl went to a baptism with Sweets, during the hymn NoniGirl turned to her dad and asked "Do you even hear yourself singing, your voice is all low and like blah blah blah".
Chookie telling Nonigirl "Weo, you stink" when Nonigirl announced that something at the dinner table was stinky , informing us that she "has good smells" (meaning her nose is sensitive to smells).
Today I overheard Gordy playing with a little race car made of Legos that Nik had made a long time ago. He was yelling "Steve come back!" I asked Charley who this Steve was and she told me that Gordy named his car Steve. What? I keep wondering where he has even heard that name!
When Charley was 2 she would always tell me she loved me. One day I gave her some chocolate milk in her sippy cup. She looked at me and then down at ther milk and said "I yuh you chochet miwt". Which is to say: I love you chocolate milk.
