This is what Sweets emailed me earlier today:
Remember when we went to Disney Land and I saved that child's life? His head was wedged between impeniterable steel bars, and the crowd stood by helpless, fearful, some of them shrieking, and wholly lacking in sufficient manhood. Then I turned slowly to meet the boy's tearful, beseeching eyes, and my own abandonment as a child returned forcefully to my tender young mind, and I ripped off my shirt exposing my rippled muscles, and I forced my way through the mass of humanity, leaping over the barricades with my long beautiful hair flowing behind me, carrying one or two grown men under each arm and flinging them out of harms way, and then I wrenched the steel bars apart with my incredible strength extricating the terrified youth, and the people were shouting and cheering for me, and some of them were crying, and John Voit and the Rebel Billionaire hoisted me up on their shoulders and paraded me around Disney Land and went on the Log Flume ride with me. That was great.

What in the WORLD! lol
O.k. did something similar really happen, or, ummm...
I dont know what to say!! Wonderful writing though! I guess the pictures say it all??
Please please tell me Chris really wrote that!? Perhpas, if so, you might remind him that one of the "tending kids" got their head wedged between the plain old wooden bars of the staircase up to my dad's office and was trapped helpless for ever so long with no one able to help him. Where were your husband's long flowing hair and rippled muscles then, I ask you!!
Oh yeah this story is true (mostly) and Sweets did indeed email it to me just this morning. Yesterday he emailed me a different "random memory" but of course it had some gross parts in it. I'll probably go ahead ad post it anyway, knowing me.
Nanc: Yeah, where was he then when the tended needed him? I'll have to remind him of his negligence.
It has to be true because if he was making it up he would surely come up with someone better than the billionaire and Jon Voight - I mean c'mon - not the first one's you'd want to impress with ripped muscles and strength and humankindness and such. Yes, it has to be true but really, I'd like to hear the TRUTH of it all....
Ay Tia, so you want the truth eh?
Bueno, aqui va:
We were at Disneyland in a line for a ride (duh) when we noticed that a little Mexican girl about the age of 2 got her head stuck in between the metal slats of the railing. Sweets politely pushed me aside and started to yank on the railing on either side of the little one's head. Then one other guy in line took over pulling on one side while sweets pulled on the other. I just stood there with the ladies other little baby in my arms crying because it was just so beautiful to watch Sweets and some other guy coming together to help this little wailing girl. They freed her and the grateful mother thanked Sweets and other guy over and over again.
I was 5 months pregnant at the time so it was all emotional for me. Sweets was my hero that day (well everyday really).
I just had to read that again because it was so freakin' awesome. I loved how the group was lacking in sufficient manhood and how he carried two grown men -- one in each arm , etc.
I also liked how he forgot it was a little girl and not a boy.
